We convey the impressions of the participant of the program Mina. See how she spends her days in hot Spain, maybe she will make you leave your comfort zone and dare to take this step!
Since I am someone who does not like to get out of their comfort zone, has established schedules, obligations and habits, this year I decided to make a change and I can tell you, cultural exchange for the program Spain, is the most beautiful thing it happened to me! I have been thinking about Master’s studies in Spain for a long time, and this program made me feel like a resident of my favorite country, in the suburbs of the most attractive city, Barcelona! Just 200m from a beautiful beach reminiscent of the famous beaches of Miami, there is a house where I stayed for 2 months with my family in a town called Badalona.
The family is very kind, they are there for everything I need and they really try to make me feel at home. I fit in quickly and every day here is like a dream day. Imagine, I was lucky enough for my family to prepare a surprise for me, and not just any kind of trip to Palma! If you think it’s a joke, take a look at the pictures. In addition to the obligations each participant in this program has free time (usually weekends, depending on how you agree with the family) for their activities and tours of places and other cities. You definitely need to use this time in the right way!
Did you know that you can go to Ibiza or Palma de Mallorca for less than € 20 (return plane ticket)? If you like such adventures, the program certainly gives you the opportunity to explore the cities you have always wanted to visit.
I used my free time at the summer school of Spanish in Barcelona where I met wonderful people from various countries such as: Russia, Brazil, China, Turkey… and improved my Spanish. Barcelona is a city that I have already visited, but it is a city where you can constantly visit another place, the square and the beach, which leaves you breathless every time. It is definitely the most beautiful city you can be in if you opt for this program. He left a special impression on me, but also helped me make a decision about my Master’s studies after inquiring and talking to friends from summer school. Now, when I think about it a little better, I don’t know why I didn’t apply for this program before, here every day is magical, and my heart is flooded with excitement and happiness. Don’t let yourself constantly procrastinate on something you’ve always wanted because of constant commitments and fear of stepping out of your comfort zone. Remember that time passes quickly and the chances will not be given forever.
