Anika found out about the cultural exchange program on the Internet and you can find out more about it below:
“I found out about the cultural exchange program accidentally on the internet and I applied immediately. This surprised me because the program is far from my comfort zone. I’m very pleased with my stay in Spain, and I’m even happier about the fact that at no point during the six weeks spent in that wonderful country did I regret signing up and going there.
I spent amazing days in Guadalajara, a city near Madrid, mostly thanks to the family I was staying with and where I taught English to their two children.
I used my free time, which I had plenty of, to travel and visit other cities. I met many young people from Spain, but also from other countries of the world. I stayed in touch with some of them. I enjoyed discovering Spanish specialties, which my Spanish “parents” took great care of. I significantly improved my modest knowledge of Spanish before leaving.
The family I stayed with, the Spanish culture, beautiful places and cities, simple and cheerful people, Mediterranean tastes – all this together awakens the desire to travel there again.”
